Painted Jacket

For my history of art class we had to choose an artist and create something based off of our major, and what our artist was known for. The artist I chose was known for doing stained glass windows, so I decided to make a jacket inspired by stained glass.

The Process

I made a basic jacket out of muslin and created my lines using pencil. I then bought fabric paint and hand painted each shape. To make the design really pop I used black paint with a fine tipped tube to show the lines. As a finishing touch I added some small gems to the back.
